Focus On Nature Tours, Inc (FONT)
Some General Information and Conditions
Regarding:
Price
The price for each of the
tours is given in U.S. Dollars, no matter which country the tour itself would
be in. All payments to "Focus on Nature Tours, Inc." are to be in
U.S. Dollars.
The price, for any given
tour, includes the items as indicated in the tour itinerary.
Air
Transportation
In the case of most tours,
the air transportation cost is not included in the price. However,
"Focus on Nature Tours" can arrange whatever flight tickets are required,
for every tour included in the program. "Focus on Nature Tours" will
endeavor to do this, in every case, in the most economically advantageous way
for the travelers, either as part of an organized group or as individuals.
Restrictions and any penalty fees (if assessed) on the air tickets are governed
by the airlines.
Insurance
"Focus on Nature
Tours" recommends that registered tour participants obtain insurance to
cover (at the very minimum) their tour cost, and air fare, (including trip
cancellation and trip interruption coverage), in case
any unforeseen circumstances arise causing the client not to travel or to
return early from a tour.
Please note, as many of the
economically priced air tickets have restrictions regarding changes and
cancellations, this gives some valued protection.
"Focus on Nature
Tours" can assist with such insurance information as requested.
Payments
Accepted forms of
payment are:
Credit cards: American Express, Discover, Visa, Mastercard.
Checks
or money orders.

Single
& double-occupancy policy:
Single-occupancy will be confirmed
(where possible), when persons specify this preference at time of registration.
The applicable single-supplement would be required with payment for the balance
of the tour cost.
If double-occupancy "as
assigned" is preferred and requested at time of registration, FONT will
pair with another person of the same gender requesting the same, if available.
FONT would advise client prior to the tour the rooming status. If another
person of the same gender is not available with whom to pair for double-occupancy,
then the single-supplement would be required. (Single-supplements are specified
in each tour itinerary, or are available upon request from FONT.)
Deposit
& Payment Schedule:
A deposit as stated in the
tour's literature would be required at the time of registration to secure and
hold reservations on a tour. A tour reservation is not held without a deposit.
Full payment for a given
tour is due by 110-days prior to the first date of the tour.
If it is not received by
the proper time, a late-charge of $25 per each 10-day delinquency from the due
date would be assessed, or cancellation of the reservation could result.
If "Focus On Nature Tours" is also handling your airline
arrangements, participants will be advised of the payment schedule as required
by the specific airline.
Refunds
& Cancellations
If cancellation is made:
All deposits are
refundable, minus $100, up to
100-days
prior to the first day of the tour.
Within the 100-day period
prior to the tour:
75% of the full payment is
refundable up to
60 days prior to day 1 of
the tour.
50% of the full payment is
refundable up to
30 days prior to day 1 of
the tour.
None of the full payment is
refundable within
30 days of the first day of
the tour.
The above refund schedule applies
to the tour cost.
No exceptions whatsoever
will be made to this cancellation policy & schedule.
Any registrants canceling
should expect that any applicable tour refund will take a minimum of 4-weeks to
be processed and received.
There is never any refund
penalty of the tour cost if another traveler is substituted for the person
canceling. "FONT" is not and does not take on the responsibility of
obtaining such a substitute.
Air fare payment
procedure and refund policy is governed entirely upon the policy of the
specific airline, and the type of ticket (fare plan) obtained.
Trip
insurance is highly recommended.
Smoking
Policy
Tour participants are asked
to refrain from smoking in vehicles and when in close quarters with other
members of the group, including at meals.
Of course, smoking should
not be done, as well, on trails or within boundaries of natural sanctuaries or
preserves where it is designated as not permitted.
With double-occupancy
accommodations, smokers should request, in advance, that they be paired with
another smoker. Smoking will not be permitted in rooms, if a person is sharing
accommodations with a non-smoker; or if restricted by the policy of the
accommodations' proprietor.
Responsibility
/ Terms & Conditions:
Each tour participant
agrees to release and indemnify and hold harmless Focus on Nature Tours, Inc.,
its agents, employees, shareholders, officers, and directors from any and all
liability, claims, demands, and actions for any and all known or unknown,
foreseen or unforeseen losses, damages or injuries to any person or property in
any manner arising out of or in connection with tour, whether or not the
liability, claims, demands, or actions arise from negligence of the tour
participant, Focus on Nature Tours, Inc., its agents, employees, shareholders,
officers or directors. Focus on Natures Tours, Inc., acts only as an agent for
the passenger in regard to travel, whether by railroad, motorcar, motorcoach, boat, airplane, or any other means, and assumes
no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity caused
by defect in such vehicles or for any reason whatsoever, including the acts,
defaults or bankruptcies of any company or person engaged in conveying the
passenger or in carrying out the arrangements of the tour. Focus on Nature
Tours, Inc., accepts no responsibility for losses of additional expenses due to
delay or changes in air or other services, sickness, weather, strike, war,
quarantine, or other causes. The tour participant shall bear all such losses
and expenses. Focus on Nature Tours, Inc. reserves the right to substitute
hotels of similar category for those indicated and to make any changes in the
itinerary where deemed necessary for any reason whatsoever. Focus On Nature
Tours, Inc. reserves the right to substitute one leader for another as
schedules or any other conditions may warrant. If another leader not possible, Focus
On Nature Tours Inc will extend a total refund. Focus on Nature Tours, Inc.
reserves the right to decline to accept or to retain any person as a member of
any tour. Baggage is at owner's risk entirely.
The receipt of your tour
deposit by "Focus on Nature Tours, Inc." shall be deemed as the
participants consent to the above conditions.
Health
and weather considerations:
Participants should be in
good health and should consult a physician before undertaking a tour.
